A Quality Program for Your Quality Athlete

I have coached at the Junior High level as a volunteer, as an assistant and then a head coach.
While volunteering I co-founded and directed Verde Heat Jr volleyball club where I was the head coach of our 14 -1 team for two years, practice planner for our 14 -2 team and floater for our 16 and under teams.
My 14 and under team missed the first tournament (multi sport players) but went on to be undefeated for the remainder of the season and taking 3rd in the gold division at Regional's. More importantly we had a blast..we knew this was the last season we would all be together so we made the most of it.
Summer of 09 I moved to the Surprise area looking for a club and a team to coach and am very happy to be with Zia coaching their 14-Regional team.

As a coach I believe that it is my responsibility to help young athletes development strong foundations to build on, not just in technique and teaching fundamentals, but in developing the whole player. I put this into practice by developing good team skills as well as individual skills, good sportsmanship (practicing controlled aggression while showing respect to the other team no matter who they are), responsibility (on and off the court), and healthy choice making beyond the sport of volleyball. I believe players should be treated with respect and be involved in the process especially at the older level.  Volleyball should be fun and the more you play the better you get .
