Brooke Peugh- Head Coach
I started playing volleyball in the 7th grade. I played 4 years at Ironwood High School and led the team in blocks, kills, and aces my senior season.I was a member of the Arizona High Performance team in 2002. I was also awarded All Region, All-State, and 2004 Prep Volleyball.com All-American during senior year. I played one year at UTEP where I was third-team All-Conference USA as well as on the All-Freshman team. I was also twice named C-USA Player of the Week, All-Midwest
Region honorable mention and Sun Bowl all-tournament team as a freshman. I was second on the team with 3.09 kills/gm and my 104 blocks ranked ninth in the conference. I had 12 blocks in one match at Tulsa which was the second-highest total in C-USA.
I transferred to University of Georgia in 2006 and started off my career in red and black with 14 kills, eight total blocks (which tied my season high), a hitting percentage of .480 and five digs during a 3-1 win over UAB. I achieved a new career-best hitting percentage (.480 ) against UAB. I registered a career-high 16 kills during a five-game battle against Auburn and finished our match against Georgia State with eight
total blocks and a season-high seven digs. I completed the 2006 season with a double-digit kill total in 10 matches. In 2007, I started off the season with gaining all tournament team at the Georgia Southern Tournament and was leading the team with a hitting percentage of .365 during the middle of the season which was one of the highest in the SEC, but my final season was cut short due to surgery for a shoulder injury. I will be graduating in December and will come back to Arizona upon my graduation.
I was the Assistant Coach of the 16-1 GA-5 club team in Georgia last season and am looking forward to teaching all that I've learned to those athletes willing to work hard, have an open mind and have fun!
