1ST ANNUAL POTLUCK PICNIC/TEAM PICTURES
WHEN: Sunday, January 30th
WHERE: Sahuaro Ranch Park by the Ramadas
WHAT TIME: 11:30am-4pm
WHAT TO BRING: your designated items and a table or blanket
for you and your family.


*Each team will be bringing food, drinks, paper products, and dessert to feed your own team. Please coordinate this with your coach and the
team mom.

**Each team will need to coordinate for their picture theme. For ex: all
white shirts, jeans, and different color boas, prom dresses and tennis
shoes, navy shirt, jeans, and flip flops. You can be as creative as you
want to be.

We will have a professional photographer taking the individual player,
team, and entire club pictures. We are also having a potluck picnic,
parent vs. players sand volleyball games, and lots of fun mingling and
making new friends. You are more than welcome to play throughout
the park but please make sure you arrive on time to take your team
pictures and set up your picnic with the Zia Volleyball group.

Ally Kohlhase to be a P.C. Bear

Longtime Zia player Ally Kohlhase has accepted a scholarship offer to play volleyball next fall for the Phoenix College Bears under Head Coach Amanda Burbridge and assistant Coach Pat Hiltz.

Kohlhase has been with Zia for 5 years and has played her high school career at Sunrise Mountain High School earning several Region honors along the way.

We'd like to congratulate Ally and her family on her tremendous accomplishment!

Minter Heads to Glendale Community College

Kinsey Minter, an outside hitter for last season's 18's team has accepted a scholarship offer at Glendale Community College to play for Head Coach Lisa Stuck.

Minter just joined Zia a year ago and her improvement and athleticism caught the attention of several coaches. Minter plays in the Cactus High School program.

Congraulations to Kinsey and her family on a terrific achievement.

 


Lehman Accepts Scholarship to Ft. Lewis

Three year Zia Alum Shelby Lehman from Wickenburg has accepted a scholarship offer to play for coach Shelly Aaland at Ft. Lewis University in Durnago, Colorado.

Lehman has been a Region honored player for the the Wickenburg Wranglers in both volleyball and basketball and was on the Zia 18's last season as both a middle and an outside hitter.

Congratulations to the Lehman family and to Shelby for her hard work and accomplishments.

Tory Gregory Commits to GCC

Longtime Zia player Tory Gregory has accepted an offer from Coach Lisa Stuck to play volleyball at Glendale Community College for the 2010-11 seasons.

Tory was the outside hitter on the Zia 18 Legacy team this past season and has been with Zia since her 12's year.

Congratulations to Tory on her hard work and accomplishments and to the Gregory family.

Lovell Signs with Roughriders!

Zia's 18-Legacy setter Lindsay Lovell has signed a scholarship offer to play for the Yavapai Roughriders volleyball team for the 2010-11 volleyball seasons.

Lovell, who is in her first season with Zia, was the setter at Boulder Creek high school in Anthem. She will play her college ball for Coach Matt Cohen and she joins fellow Zia athletes Kjerstin Karlsson and Samantha Eastburn on the Roughriders roster for next season.

Congratulations Lindsay and the Lovell family on a great example of hard work paying off. Well done Linds!
